How to Permanently Get Rid of Blackhead in 4-Steps

I think we can all agree that blackhead are the most annoying in the acne category but the most fun to extract. However, extracting them can cause more harm that good. We all have seen those pore strip extraction videos that look tempting to try out but the truth is that those strip enlarge your pores and are only temporary fixes. To get rid of blackheads permanently,  follow these  4 easy steps.

What are blackheads?

Blackheads are a mix of oil and skin clogged inside pores and their color is black due to oxidization when exposed to air. It is important to understand that just because you have blackheads, it doesn’t mean that your skin is dirty, although that could be one factor so do remove your makeup every night! The cause of blackheads could range from hormonal changes, taking certain drugs, diet and oily skin. Here are 3 steps to get rid of them!

Step 1

Scrub your skin thoroughly with a gently soap and gentle scrubber.  I use Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser  with Clarisonic Mia 2, Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush . Cetaphil Daily cleanser  and Clarisonic’s cleansing brush is gentle on the skin and help clean the skin throughly without irritating the skin. Use the cleaning brush, once in 2 days or less if you have dry skin but wash everyday.

Step 2

Use a pore detoxifying mask. I use the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask and when feeling fancy, I use Glam Glow’s Supermud Clearing Treatment Clay Mask.
Get it here! Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Mask (this mask is cheap but truly is so effective and really pulls ALL the gunk out of your skin)

Step 3

Leave  Salicylic Acid gel on effected area, I have the most black heads on my nose so Iusually just treat that area. Sleep with salicylic acid gel on as the longer you keep it, better the effects.  Don’t be afraid of the word “Acid” in Salicylic Acid. It is the top choice of dermatologist’s to tackle acne as it dissolves away blackheads and  drys out pimples. I use The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution (It’s only $5!).

Step 4

In the morning, now that your blackheads are “loose” use the detoxifying mask again pull all the gunk out!

Use this routine daily and scrub every other day or less. This procedure has been working wonders for my blackheads on my nose! This routine  aren’t going to get rid of blackheads at once but over time you will see a huge difference as it pulls the blackheads out from the root. I have been using this routine for 2 weeks and my blackheads have reduced a significant amount. I’m excited for the day when all my blackheads will go away!

Wish you clear and beautiful skin!

Love ya,

  1. Thank you for this! I’d definitely love to try it instead of the painful pore strips I already use! I went ahead and followed, so I’m looking forward to your future posts!
